About Findable

About Findable

Findable is an AI visibility service for UK local businesses. We measure whether AI systems such as ChatGPT and Gemini name a business, identify where the gaps are, improve the evidence those systems can read, then remeasure using the same questions.

Why Findable exists

Why Findable exists

A business can have a functioning website and appear in Google while still being missing from an AI recommendation. That does not make traditional search unimportant; it means there is another question worth measuring. Findable exists to make that question less vague: when a customer asks an AI system who to call, is the business named, and what evidence supports the answer?

Who Findable serves

Local businesses that rely on being found

Findable is for UK local businesses and service businesses whose customers search by trade, place and need. That includes plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, heating engineers, EV installers, accountants and other businesses that depend on local discovery and recommendation.

The work starts with the business context: who the business is, what it does, where it works and which sources currently support those facts.

  • Plumbers
  • Electricians
  • Locksmiths
  • Heating engineers
  • EV installers
  • Accountants

How Findable works

Measure, improve, measure again

The same-question comparison is what makes the before-and-after useful. The methodology page explains the definitions, scope and limitations.

  1. Measure

Record current AI visibility for customer-style questions.

  2. Find gaps

Identify realistic service, location, content and technical opportunities.

  3. Improve

Make the pages and evidence easier for AI systems to read.

  4. Remeasure

Ask the same approved questions again after four weeks.

AI citations logged, across 941 businesses, 17 trades and 223 towns

Research-led, not dashboard-led

The work is informed by what AI actually cites

Findable publishes original local-business research: 941 businesses across 17 trades and 223 towns, with 61,848 citations logged. The research helps us understand how businesses are represented in AI answers; it does not turn an observation into a promise that one change always causes a result.

Who runs Findable

A small service with a direct line to the work

Findable is run by Paul. He carries out the audits, works through the client evidence, improves pages and site clarity, and follows the before-and-after visibility measurement. That keeps the service close to the questions it asks and the changes it makes.

What makes the approach different

  • Measure before making changes.
  • Use the same questions for the comparison.
  • Publish the local-business research.
  • Work on practical pages, evidence and site clarity.
  • Explain limitations instead of promising fixed AI rankings.
  • Keep the work focused on businesses that need local discovery.

What Findable does not claim

Findable does not control ChatGPT, Gemini or other AI systems, and cannot guarantee a number-one recommendation. AI answers and sources can change. Visibility does not guarantee leads or sales; it is a measured signal that can improve or move unexpectedly.
